A bounce of straws, rubber banded together and shot on end. Shot at f/3.5 at 1/200 of a second, ISO800. I had an SB600 flash unit positioned next to them with a blue gel, bouncing off of a white seemless paper at 1/64 power. Although metering correctly in camera, because the lens is so close to the subject, there isn’t a lot of light that makes it into the camera. So when I tried this shot with no flash, the image was very underexposed. I could have set the shutter speed to a considerably longer exposure, I wanted to cast a blue tint on the image. The final look kind of reminds me of high school biology class looking at cells under a microscope.
