Brasyl by Ian McDonald
This is actually the third or fourth time I've tried to read this novel. Its not particularly long, clocking in at just over 300 pages, but it is a difficult read. Three separate story lines across 4 centuries, one in the past, one the present and the last one in the near future. Interesting cyberpunk ideas, but hard to get around the mix of Spanish/Portugese and English.
I recently got a wide-angle lens and spent about an hour testing it out this past weekend. This is from a park outside Ypsilanti, MI (twin city with Ann Arbor) near the campus of Eastern Michigan University.
