Reason #2 to go to Photoshop World

Joaquin Phoenix will not be there doing his hip-hop music! “Wait, is that some kind of joke?”

When I was at Photoshop World in Vegas, I stumbled upon Jeff Schewe in the lobby of the hotel and talked to him for a few minutes after I saw his presenter badge. One of the nicest guys I have ever come across, and I HAD NO CLUE who he was! The next day I was in one of the sessions he taught and was blown away with the man’s knowledge of Camera Raw, and have since bought his excellent book. I also got to talk to Scott Kelby for a couple of minutes as well, and he was gracious enough to sign my copy of his 7 points book. I also talked to Jason Scrivner outside of the makeshift studio NAPP was using to tape web episodes and training demos. Again, very pleasant, nice guy (although I did note that he looked beat!)

Now I would say at the time I was a total novice in working with Photoshop, and yet these people took time to talk to me in the middle of all the crazy goings on. They didn’t know me from Adam, yet they were polite, pleasant, and warm. So how about this reason to go to Photoshop World? Where else are you going to find so many of the best photographers and Photoshop pros in the business all in one place that you can meet and learn from in one three day stretch!
